Mijenta Blanco Tequila is a distinguished spirit that embodies the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Jalisco, Mexico. Established in 2020, Mijenta Tequila was co-founded by Mike Dolan, Juan Coronado, Elise Som, and Ana María Romero, who serves as the master distiller. The brand is committed to sustainability, boasting a fully carbon-neutral production process and being the first B-corp certified tequila brand as of late 2022.
Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave harvested from the Highlands of Jalisco, Mijenta Blanco undergoes a meticulous production process. The agave is slow-cooked and fermented with proprietary yeast strains, followed by triple distillation in pot stills. The tequila rests for 45 days prior to bottling unfiltered, ensuring a pure and authentic taste.
On the nose, Mijenta Blanco Tequila offers aromas of roasted herbal agave, steamed zucchini, vanilla, and tropical fruit, with additional floral and caramel notes emerging over time. The palate presents sweet citrus, vanilla, and agave flavors, complemented by lime and peach, building to a peak of caramel, pineapple, and agave. The finish fades with floral and tropical fruit, leaving a buttery herbal agave, black pepper, cherry, and lime taste.
Bottled at 40% ABV, Mijenta Blanco Tequila is presented in a sleek and elegant 750ml bottle that reflects the distillery's commitment to quality and tradition. The label and box are made from agave waste, underscoring the brand's dedication to sustainability.
