Dedman, the distillery faced a significant setback when, just before Prohibition, the government seized its entire stock of bourbon. This event led to the brand's closure and the loss of its prized barrels. Revived in 2014 by Dixon Dedman, C.M. Dedman's great-great-grandson, Kentucky Owl has since released several acclaimed expressions. Confiscated, introduced in April 2019, is the first offering from Kentucky Owl to be available in all 50 U.S. states.��
