Binyamina Winery, founded in 1952, was originally named "Eliaz" after the founder, Joseph Zeltzer's son who died in Israel's War of Independence in 1948. Joseph came to Israel from Hungry as a winemaker intent on continuing his profession in Israel. As the town grew and the winery changed hands, it was renamed Binyamina after the village where it's located. Over the years, each of the owners have endeavored to make Binyamina one of the leaders in the Israeli wine industry. This Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception. Combining grapes from both Galilee and the Golan Heights, it was aged for 14 months in French oak and reflects the ideal growing conditions that allowed the grapes to have full aroma and flavor.
